i don’t understand it but my 2009 seems to start with news of friends unexpectedly passing away. doesn’t seem right. doesn’t seem fair.

i’ve recently learned that one of my best friend’s brother, bernard benavidez, kicked the bucket. he was much younger than me.

me: “i’m sorry for your family’s loss, franchette! i wish i was around to be of comfort…”

and today…oh, anabel.

me: “spread your wings and fly!”

…you will be missed.

i’m personally thanking this site and everyone else who’s involved in it, mainly for trying to help anabel (and her family) during distressed times and particularly for keeping anabel’s memories alive.
